Kristin Elder has been making art since she was two years old. She loves to paint from her imagination, to make little worlds on paper. She works primarily in watercolor and oil on board, in a figurative style. She enjoyes observing and painting real objects, but hates to be contstrained to painting what she sees. She'd rather take bits from this world and use them to make her own. Kristin received her formal education at Union College in Lincoln, NE. She graduated summa cum laude in 2005 with a B.A. in studio art and an A.S. in graphic design. These days Kristin lives in Ottawa, Ontario. She is currently working on a body of personal pieces. |
